okay, i kinda promised myself i'd lay off new wine for a bit, and it's been a while, so i don't feel too obsessional about it - but really when this is the picture for leaders networks i come across on their website, it leaves a heck of a lot to be desired.
sorry new wine, you can wax lyrical all you like about leadership being open to men and women, but with images like this processing through peoples minds, sorry, it just doesn't cut the mustard.
hmmm wonder if i'll find myself in the 'leaders tent' at this year's summer conference? LSE anyone?

You have a point there Jody!
sorry, I've seen that image quite a few times, and I'm not sure why you regard it as sexist - are you interpreting all the images as male, and if so, why?
hi john
thanks for your question. i have to say that i'm stunned that if you don't think the image is full of little blue men.
of course women can wear blue, and can wear trousers - it's just that as a symbol, the 'blue' and 'trousers' still says 'men' (in lieu of any details on the stick figures).
if new wine want to be absolutely clear that they affirm women in ministry then steering right away from images like this is highly necessary.
john....when i go to the loo in any public place, were i to walk into the little room with that sign on- i would be shoo ed out
it's a male image
:)
(just so you know my remark isn't a stroppy one......)
ha ha MMP, you just made me think what would happen if i interpreted that sign as 'anyone wearing trousers'!
i suspect i'd be arrested...
