I have a sermon to write.

I have 'lived' with the text for a week now and nothing seems to be 'springing to mind' except for random thoughts - the text is the one about Paul being taken before the court and then after being tied up saying something along the lines of 'oh, by the way, I'm Roman', this puts them in a fluster, of course.

All this occurs because the silversmiths stir up trouble when they see Christianity causing a significant dent in the profit of making small statues of Artemis to worship.

Hmmm, I feel a sermon coming on...

- basic theme: the Holy Spirit vs 'spirits'

- best line so far: If ‘spirits’ bind and blind and overpower, then the Spirit frees us, drops the scales from our eyes and empowers.
